Veritas Quality Solutions was founded by Dr. Gersha Pierre to bring higher education institutions the kind of quality assurance and accreditation support that usually only comes from having someone on the inside who has also sat on the regulator’s side of the table.

About Dr. Gersha Pierre
Dr. Pierre has 20 years of experience in quality assurance, accreditation, and institutional governance in higher education.
As former Director of Accreditation and Quality Enhancement at ACTT (the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago), she evaluated institutions and programmes from the regulator’s side, reviewing self-studies, conducting site visits, and chairing the ACTT Board Audit Committee from 2021 to 2023.
For over a decade, she also directed Quality Assurance and Institutional Research at a tertiary institution, building and running the internal systems, evidence base, and governance structures that accreditors look for. That combination, regulator and institution, evaluator and evaluated, is what shapes the way she works with clients today.
She is a certified ACTT peer reviewer and has conducted peer review training for others. She has also attended HLC (Higher Learning Commission) peer reviewer training and has worked within HLC accreditation standards and criteria.

Signature Research Instrument
Dr. Pierre developed the SQSHE (Service Quality Scale for Higher Education) as part of her doctoral research, an instrument for measuring service quality in a Caribbean higher education context. It remains a foundation of the quality assurance approach used across Veritas Quality Solutions engagements.
She has also developed the AI Readiness Evaluation Instrument for Higher Education Institutions, used as an optional first step in the AI policy consulting process.
